Last night a few miles from my home a fire that was accidental burned all night. It was a miracle no one was hurt and only three homes were destroyed. The Firefighters did an amazing job.
1600 Homes had to be evacuated with very short notice, many people displaced. Residents will not be allowed back until tomorrow afternoon.
This is a great picture of the Salt Lake Valley from Utah Valley with the beautiful Mount Timpanogos Temple in the foreground.
Amazing this house did not burn.
We have much to be thankful for today as the smell of smoke lingers all around.

I know how frightening it is. We were living in Canberra in 2003 when fire swept through two surburbs, killing several people, destroying over 500 homes, two schools, an equestrian centre and an observatory. It was heartbreaking.
So scary! It is a miracle that more homes weren't destroyed!
