Sunflowers

One of the most pleasant things that I enjoyed on my drive to school in September were the fields of wild Sunflowers. There were thousands of them in the fields and lining the road. I felt like I was in a Parade and they were all waving at me. Sadly a lot of building has gone on in the field and most of the Sunflowers no longer exist. Just a few stragglers left. I am posting a picture I took about 2 years ago so I can remember how it used to be.

It feels Like Monday

We awoke to pretty shivery temps this morning. It is quite a shock to the system after the hot summer. It will warm up again this week though. I really still sound like a typical Brit when I talk about the weather. Dinner at Ana's was so good last night. I love Mexican Food and this was authentic stuff. It was fun to visit with some of her family members and catch up with what they are doing. Her oldest son Gary Barnett is a concert pianist and he was there on his way to California to work on getting another PhD, this time in Latin Music. You can catch his perfomence on You Tube. Just type in his name and pianist and it will come up.
