Is it just me?

Does the sight of blow up Christmas lawn ornaments make your blood run cold.

Every day on my way to and from school I pass a home that looks a lot like this one.

with a little of this mixed in...

If I was brave enough I would stop and take a picture of the actual home in question.
But for now I will keep on driving by and turn my head the other way.

I would hate to encourage them to add any more.

Back Early...

Living as close to the Great Salt Lake as we do when incoming storms pass over the lake we often get what is known as "Lake Effect" snowfall amounts.  Last night and today was one of those occasions.  A very pretty 13 inches.

So glad I did not have to drive to school today, instead I packed away the Christmas decorations, worked on Family History and worked on a puzzle of London. Christmas Gift from my daughter. And this Blog Post.

Dirty Air...

I had such hope for 2010, but so far it is letting me down.   Several day's in a row we have had the worst polluted air in the nation.Foggy Day StreetYes it really has been that bad.   If I didn't know better I would swear that someone stood in front of my house on my street  and took this picture.  My street lamp, my dormant Mountain Ash Tree, very spooky!

My sister in London is suffering through the worst snow England has seen in eighteen years.   What happened to "Global Warming"?Baboons-eating-hot-potato-007Poor Baboons at Knowlsley  Safari Park eating "Hot Potatoes to keep warm.

Blogging is not something that is inspiring meBluebells 2  at present.  I did find some pretty Spring images to share .

When I was a little girl growing up in England I loved walking through the "Bluebell Woods" and picking some to take home to my Mother.

Just a few more weeks and the Tulips will be up and the birds will return.tulipsBirds 2 Let's just hang in there!

Lots of Snow

We are getting ready for Christmas, but it will be a quiet one. New Year will be the most fun because John Rachel and Collin and Ethan are arriving to visit for a week in Salt Lake. They get here New Years Eve afternoon. I have the week off School also.
I can hardly wait it has been a year since we saw them in the flesh. Thank Goodness for Skype it does make the separation more bearable. So should have much more to write about soon.

So Tired......

It has been a pretty tiring week so far. I have been up so early every day. Would you believe 4:00am. I am working on a rather large genealogy project, and early in the quiet of the morning with no distractions helps my concentration a lot. Hoping to have it finished before Christmas.
I must mention that when I have been driving to school a couple of mornings at 7:30am the morning sky has been remarkably beautiful. A sort of pinkish orange tint with large low pale grey clouds over the lovely snow capped mountains. Usually we are in the middle of cold and snow by now, so better enjoy it while we can.
