Stone Cottages ….

 Cumbrian Cottage

Who Is She?

One of a few pictures I received from my friend Ingrid a few months ago.  No actual location or name of person.  The cottage is a very typical Stone Cottage of the kind built in the Lake District of England.  The kind many of my Ancestors may have lived in.

After searching the Internet I found many of these old cottages are remodeled and refurbished and are wonderful places to to take a vacation in

Prices to stay for the night or a week  would be about the same price as a nice Motel here in the States.  All of them seemed to have the most glorious views of the country side.

Eleven Years ago I was back in England and had the opportunity to travel to Lake Windermere in the Lake District.

My daughter Rachel and two of her friends and myself traveled by Motor Coach and spent the  afternoon there. Rachel walked around part of Lake and Jill , Britny  and myself took a long sail on the Lake on a Steamer
