Chained...

About a week ago I renewed my membership to genes reunited because they have the 1911 Census available online.

Just could not wait to find all those
 lovely ancestors listed there.

The first family I looked for was my Grandmother Eliza Mary Williamson and my Grandfather George Longrigg.

George and Elizabeth Longriig 1911
Eliza Mary and Elizabeth and Caroline Jane This would have been taken right around 1911 because the baby was my aunt Caroline Jane born in 1910 with eldest daughter Elizabeth born in 1907.
George Longrigg as a young man
So far, so good, I must have added at least 100 pages to my Family Tree and added quite a few children unknown to me in the 1901 Census.

Well worth the $74 investment! My tree keep growing and growing.   And I need some sleep.

I've found quite a lot of unknown ancestors on the 1911 censuses too. It's more detailed than previous ones too. Did you know this was the first English census to be completed by the householder? So we get to see their handwriting too.
