I did not remember this…

textile

I suppose I may have  and have just forgotten.

My sister who lives in London recently attended an Exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum.  She was there to see a display of Grace Kelly’s clothing.

She noticed that Horrockses also had a an exhibition  of their fashions going on.  She wrote and asked me if I or my older sister, who also worked at Horrockses the same time as I did ever owned one of these fashionable at the time dresses.

I may have helped weave the fabric for them before the print and design took place in the mid 50’s, and I did have a few printed cotton dresses but I do not remember having one with an actual Horrockses Label

size 10 label

Mind you I would have been in good good company if I had.

Would be such fun to pop along to the V&A for the Day.

Love that - I would so enjoy an exhibition of Grace Kelly's dresses. My favorite exhibit at the Smithsonian is the one with many of the Inaugural gowns from the first ladies. Gotta love it!
