Tennyson penned a beautiful prose in "The death of the Old Year," in which he concluded, "tread softly and speak low, for the old year lies a-dying."
I don't know about you but I am not one for making resolutions, to many years have passed where I have done that.
Think I will go along with Mark Twain who said "Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual."
Or maybe Benjamin Franklin said it best. He suggested, "Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors and let each new year find you a better man."
Happy 2010 to all and Peace on Earth.
