The last two weeks have been hectic. My Grandson Collin had major surgery. A Veptr implant to correct the scoliosis on his Spine.
It was such a worry for all of us. Glad to report all went extremely well. He was such a brave boy. I never heard him cry once during the four day recovery he was in the hospital.
His Daddy, his Grandfather and Uncle gave him the most beautiful Priesthood Blessing the night before surgery and asked our Father in Heaven to bless him to be able to withstand the pain and to to be cooperative and obedient to those who would care for him.
All of that and more came true. He was a sad little boy for the first three days, not his usual happy go lucky self, but handled himself so well.
The surgery is a Miracle, his back is as straight as can be and Collin is 2 inches taller. He has to learn to walk again and is already taking his first steps. We are all so proud of him and grateful for the skill of his doctor and the medical science that has made this possible for him. He was truly blessed.
Tomorrow my daughter and family are going to California for a week to visit his other Grandparents so I really get a break. What on earth am I going to do with myself?
