My Sister Ethel saw this photo in the Lancashire Evening Post a couple of years ago, when I opened the envelope it took me a couple of of minutes to recognize myself. But I do remember those cold wet mornings practicing hockey, I actually thought it was fun at the time. I only remember a couple of the girls in the picture The one holding the Trophy was my best friend all through school her name was Ann Taylor. The lady teacher standing right behind me was Mrs. Clark and the Headmaster was Mr Thwaite. The school both my sister Ethel and I attended was quite small. Only 6 classes one for each year. If the kids at the school I work at could only see it. I don't think they would set foot in it. When I was went home to England 10 years ago I stopped by to see if it was still standing. Well it was, but not a school anymore, I think it was being used as a storage faciilty. Oh My! that all seems like another life.
